About the Author

Sylvain Julien

Born on November 3, 1981, in Mont-Saint-Aignan, Seine-Maritime, to parents who were teachers, Sylvain Julien quickly developed a passion for writing. After studies in medicine, pharmacy, and physics, he began studying Japanese in 2004 while developing an interest in number theory.

In 2005, he joined a comic book club where his passion for Japan introduced him to manga drawing techniques. When the club’s instructor asked him to imagine a storyline, the idea for a four-volume fantasy cycle began to take shape — and what was intended as a few comic pages ultimately evolved into the Cycle of Albalöth.

La Dimension Shiro pulled me in from the very first page. The atmosphere of Tokyo feels incredibly real, and Frank Hammett is the kind of character you don't forget easily. A gripping, original fantasy unlike anything I've read before.

Sahelios takes the story to a completely different level. Two parallel worlds, two compelling characters — and a race against time that kept me up reading until 2am. Brilliant storytelling.
